Mandatory reconsideration

Mandatory reconsideration was created by spaceinvader
Have just rang DWP to check on the status of my mandatory reconsideration (well mainly to make sure they had it!) and have been told they have until tomorrow to make a decision.
They said to ring back Thursday morning and I should be able to find out if it's been successful or not. I thought I'd just get a txt or letter?
The woman I spoke to, also said they could opt to send me for another medical assessment? I wasn't expecting that. The last one was an horrendous experience to go through.
Does the above sound like it's the right procedure? I'm keeping everything crossed the MR is successful. I definitely feel I fulfil the descriptors to be in the support group and not the work related activity group.

The Decision will be notified to you in writing but it often takes the ESA letters 10-14 days to get to the claimant so it is worth your ringing.
Whilst technically it is possible for the DWP to require a new assessment if they are unhappy with the report that they have received I can't remember the last time this happened, so I would not worry about this.
