Had successful PIP medical 2 years ago. Now am awaiting ESA medical. Last medical knocked me for six, now having read p128 of their handbook (thx b and w) I am concerned that even if I make it to the ESA medical and because I have done so on my own I will be denied benefit. Should I just not go and hope for the best
Not attending is not an option all that will happen is that they will close your ESA claim!
Have you tried for a home assessment you will need your GP to write to Maximus explaining in unambiguous terms why you cannot attend at their offices?
Failing that, could anybody go with you? Even if they do not go into the interview with you it will still help your claim that you did not travel alone.
If you have to travel on your own then ask if they will pay for a taxi it will at least avoid your having to use Public Transport.
