motability

I know to be eligible for motability you have to be awarded the higher rate for mobility.Is it true with pip it can only be eligible if you can only walk less than 20 metres?.I am reading conflicting information.I know there was a lot of fuss in the media about the change from dla to pip and that the eligibility for motability was being reduced from being able to walk 50 metres to 20 metres.However you could still be awarded the higher rate by being able to walk 20 metres to 50 metres so is it it correct that now its only awarded to those who can only walk less than 20 metres? Thank you
