Hi
I am on ESA support group and PIP standard both, £2,000 savings
Say i received £5,000 how would that effect my benefits
and would i have to tell them.

It will depend on the type of ESA that you are receiving? PIP is not impacted by your income or savings.

If you are only receiving Contribution Based ESA then the money will not affect your benefits

If you are receiving Income Related ESA in part or in whole then any savings and assets in excess of £6000 will reduce your ESA, see

Asset and savings rule for ESA(IR)

You must inform the DWP when you receive the money.
