PIP renewal was created by Plonker
Hi all
I migrated from DLA to PIP last year being awarded enhanced mobility and standard care for 2 years so I’m due a renewal pack in the near future.

As only a year has elapsed, I’m thinking of copying the original application word for word as nothing has changed and tell them my condition has not and will not change.
Any members any thoughts on this approach?

As it was a two-year award, they could either send you an AR1 Review form a year before the award ends, the format of this is different from the PIP2 that you completed last time, so at the least, you would have to adapt your answers. The AR1 is reviewed against the previous PIP2

Or, they can renew your claim about 3 months before it's end in which case it will be another PIP2 and in effect, a new claim.

In either case, you need to give some thought to your supporting evidence, especially if you have nothing current to the time you receive the form, you will need to explain why the old evidence is still relevant in your answers.

Hi all
The brown envelope just arrived. I’ve been awarded enhanced rate for both for an ongoing period.
Absolutely delighted and relieved this is over.
Your guides were very helpful in my claim.
