state pension was created by trevor3123

hi every one a question for a friend.. him and his partner retire this year 2019 my question is will there pension be paid to each of them in 2 equal payments or do they get paid as a couple with less of a payment they reach state pension age the same month so retire same month. also how much can they expect to get ? thanks in advance Geo

We don't deal with the State Pension on the forum but my understanding is that they will receive an individual payment, this will be based on their National Insurance Contributions so it is not possible to say what the amount will be.

The State Pension is not paid automatically, they will need to apply for it, they should receive documentation about three months before they reach retirement age.
