Hi Raphael
Those awarded time-limiting contributory Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) have sufficient national insurance contributions to be given ESA and the time limit is for one year and the claimants are in the work-related activity group.

I am on contributory based Esa on Oct 2012 i was placed in the work-related group an Esa Supersession was successful & i was moved in to the support group. I have filled in a WCA & from June 2019 i am remaining in the support group. Please can you tell me if my Contributory Esa will only last a year now? as i was originally put in the work- related group & have read on your newsletter it is time limited now?

Time in the Support Group is not time-limited so your ESA will remain in payment until a new Decision is made.
