Can you tell me if it matters that i have not seen a neurologist for 2 years when i claim PIP.will this go against me and should i ask my dr to refer me so i am back int the system.I have MS and not on any treatment.
It's up to you whether you ask your doctor to refer you back into the system or not, but not everyone is being treated by a consultant when they put in their PIP claim. I assisted someone last year who has had MS for 27 years. The only proof we had for PIP was a one-sentence letter from the GP. She was still awarded enhanced for both daily living and mobility. Now everyone is different, but we had to rely very heavily on her evidence and a letter from her husband.
