ESA reduced if PIP application fails?

I noticed on another members forum his concern that if he is refused PIP, his ESA payments would be affected also?
I thought they were totally separate BUT on reviewing my ESA breakdown it reads like this:
Living expenses £73.10
Extra money as severely disabled £61.85
Extra money because of disibility income guarantee £15.75
Extra money as in the Support Group £36.20
Total £186.90 per week.

If I get refused PIP or it is reduced from DLA Mid rate care and High Mobility,
What will I lose from my ESA?

Now I'm really panicking as I thought my ESA was safe. (Judge ruled I was not to be reassessed for ESA again after winning 2 tribunals)

Thanks

Hi Carly

I moved your other post which relates to this issue.

If you are in receipt of the daily living component of PIP or middle/higher care component of DLA or AA then you may be able to claim a SDP providing you fit the criteria. subsequently if loose any of the above benefits then it can have a knock on effect with any means tested benefits such as IB ESA, HB, PC ...

Gary
Im in receipt of DLA (last 9 years) mid care, High mobility.
I've just applied for PIP.

I dont understand the abbreviations you have listed.
Are you saying I will lose my Housing Benefit if I dont get the same PIP levels as DLA?
Will i lose above ESA?
I'm actually freaking out at the thought now!
I'm 63 and awake AGAIN at 3am worrying myself sick.

Will I be expected to live and pay my rent on £73 a week.
I cant take much more. With 2 ESA tribunals behind me which took 2 years out of my life, I think im done.
Just another statistic.

If you do not receive a PIP Daily Living award then you will lose the "money as severely disabled" but the amount you quote is wrong and should be £65.85.

I've quoted the figures off my entitlement letter Gordon.it states £61.85.
I'm resigned to a crap assessment and refusal to be honest reading everyone else's experience, but, will I lose my housing benefit if I either get standard or no pip,?

I'm in the support group on ESA.
