Hi - I've got a PIP assessment coming up and intend to buy two cassette recorders to produce two simultaneous recordings of the interview.

I gather that built-in microphones are poor so I'm assuming I should get recorders with microphone jacks. But I'm struggling to find any!

Can anyone name some?

All help much appreciated.

Some of the units on the following search have a microphone socket

Hi, the ones I got for my husband’s was a Bush cassette player/recorder from Argos. £34.99 I think. I got two plug in microphones from Curry’s/PC World for £4.99 each. The cassette tapes were from Wilkinson’s less than £5 for 5.

Thanks very much, Flipper!

Gosh, it's all very expensive in total. That's a heavy burden for people who don't have much money. I think DWP should provide recordings as standard.
