ESA 3 form was created by Sully32
I recently had an esa review wich was done on a paper based decision "remain in the support group"income based.I have now recieved a form ESA3? to complete by 28/9/2019 it is asking for information from 12/4/2012 to 10/4/2013 ? I dont understand what this is about would be grateful for any advice please .And also I suffer with mental health issues I cant remember what happend last week let alone 7 years ago thanks in advance.

Hi Sully32

It is nothing to be worried about, DWP are reviewing some ESA claims going back in time, I have known a number of people recently who have been given backdated payments, so it could be good news from DWP.

i have also recieved the form my dated back to 2011 .i have only filled in half the form so far,its so time consuming with so many questions most of which i can`t not even remember ,i was either on esa or jsa during that period,if i don`t send the form back will it affect my present or future benefits?

Hi Peter

It's just a review and as Gary said in the previous post, some people have benefited financially. If you can't remember just say so. I am sure there are many people in your position. No it shouldn't affect current or future benefits.
