COMPLAINTS RE: PIP ASSESSORS TO NURSING & M. COUNC was created by lyingdown
Am in the process of making a complaint about the PIP assessment nurse to the nursing and midwifery council. I now discover that they have been advised by the DWP about how to handle assessments and complaints, and that hardly any get taken seriously or dealt with properly and no nurses get disciplined for their behaviour. See link below for details of correspondence between the two organisations:

Thank you for posting this.
I complained in March 2018 about the nurse who conducted my ESA work capability assessment to the NMC. I was fobbed off and given no further option to complain about her fitness to practice, but I am taking my complaint about the CDHA to the Independent Case Examiner, who is dealing with it currently, 18 months after my complaint. No doubt they will fob me off too, even though I won my ESA Tribunal in August 2018.
The whole system is despicable, but it is interesting to read the redacted correspondence between the NMC and DWP, demonstrating the complete lack of understanding on the part of the NMC of the ESA/PIP procedure. In view of this correspondence, I am now going to write to the PSA to complain about the NMC fobbing me off, as they evidently, and by their own admission, did not know enough about the assessment procedure to properly investigate at the time when I complained (Feb 2018).
Good luck with your complaint, I hope you will receive more justice than I did. These nurses should not be allowed to get away with this.

The council did take my complaint seriously over the nurse who carried out my PIP assessment just over a year ago.
It got to the stage where they wanted my permission to contact the nurse and they told me I might have to go to a hearing - possibly in London or Birmingham.
I freaked out at the thought. I had to drop my complaint as I would never have coped with the stress of going to some busy city that is totally alien to me.
