Hi has anyone else have PIP say that their BPD and PTSD are not worth any points. Although I had a history of self harm as well as attempted suicide. Whe we had my face to face I could not even look the assessor in the face and my wife was in tears when we told her how I wanted to just die. I also have chronic back/ Nerve pain from when my back was broken. This has made life very difficult as I do not like to do much or go out. My only saving grace is I found faith. So they used it against me. Because I try to support other in my church with both mentally health problems and chronic pain. It’s do wrong that if you are honest they use it against you and say your more than capable of doing things. Not that they have to live a day in my shoes. I since have taken an overdose. However I am ok. But am now back with CPN and Psycho therapy. They have me on a rapid Referral program.

Hi Scott

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claim...q/general-faq#Gen140

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it? www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claim...q/forums-faq#Forum10

Unfortunately we have come across your dilemma many times on this forum.

You should contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report if you have not already done so, I would phone them and follow up the request in writing.

You have a very small window in which to contact the Decision Maker - so if you're going to do so - you should do so now. Don't waste time criticising the assessor - but refute, inaccuracies in the report and concentrate on the areas where you think you should have scored differently. This will not prevent you from putting in a Mandatory Reconsideration if you need to when the decision comes out.
