PIP Home Assessment ,they never turned up.

I was due a PIP home Assessment on 7.2.20 between 11am -1pm.
They never arrived.I phoned them shortly after 1pm.
I was told they visited at 11.50 am but "a man refused them entry and was abusive."
Nobody pressed any buzzer on my block, there was no shouting abuse from anyone from my block or street,i can hear everything that goes on outside,my estate has only 3 avenues,i believe that either they went to the wrong avenue and flat or they are just lying.
I was told 3 weeks ago I would be better going to an assessment center as i would get a appointment faster, have not had any contact from them since, have no idea what is going on,my last DLA payment was received on 11th of this month,DLA ends on 20/2/20.

Dont know what to do,am i now listed as some kind of hostile claimant even though they never even came to my flat?
I have never been abusive to assesors at any medical i have had,ESA or DLA,that will be in every report they have from medicals for the last 15 years since i had to stop working.

Has this happened to anyone before?
Any advice is appreciated.

I'm afraid you will have to wait and see whether you are offered a new home assessment.

Was this your first appointment or have you already asked to rearrange one?

Hi Johng

If you can bear it, I would ring again to the assessment services, and ask to be put through to a more senior person. Say exactly what happened and see what their response is.

I would also put in a formal complaint to the DWP now, telling them what has happened and that no one called at your house. You can do this over the phone, and then follow up your conversation with a letter. I agree that you do not want it noted on your file that you are abusive. My personal view is that you need to try and defend this no, even while you are awaiting for a second appointment..
