Carers element of universal credit?

Could you kindly advise me, my husband only just found out that he is able to be furloughed after weeks of confusion.
As we thought he was not eligible for furlough we had applied for universal credit and he had put in a claim for carers allowance. Now he is being furloughed we know he will be taking home slightly more than the carers allowance threshold allows so we will have to cancel that claim (no payments have been made yet) but l am wondering if he can he still claim the carers element of universal credit even though he's on furlough? (taking home just under £600 a month). He is home currently and takes care of our daughter who has autism and gets MRC and LRM rate of DLA.

I searched all over the internet for an answer and can't see one

I don't want to cancel the carers element with UC if it turns out he was entitled to claim?

Sorry for the confusing post! Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

The earnings limit for CA is £128 a week (after deductions).

You don't have to claim CA to get the Carers Element of UC, providing he has ‘regular and substantial caring responsibilities for a severely disabled person’, as far as I can see his earnings will not be an issue although they will be deducted from the UC.

You can see what you might get by putting your information into one of the online benefit calculators
