Hi Stella

I can't give you an exact answer. They had your form before the lockdown which was March 16th - but whether it is in progress or not it's impossible to say. The one comfort you have is that they have acknowledged they have your form - which is good. Other than that you can only sit and wait - or ring them to see if you can get a timescale on what is happening.

Hello Stella,

You can write to the DWP and say that your 'condition has got worse so your circumstances have changed', and they will send you a form to complete, almost certainly another copy of the form you originally completed.

You should always tell the DWP if your circumstances change, but most people's conditions fluctuate from time to time, weather, stress, age etc etc and only you can say if this is a change which is big enough to have to inform them.

You are right, if your condition has got worse you might get more points. BUT you would effectively be starting a new claim and there is a risk that you could lose what you have got and have to fight (possibly unsuccessfully) to get it back.

I would strongly recommend that you seek advice locally from someone who can look into your personal circumstances, advise you accordingly and hopefully even help you with the paperwork.

This can be a helpful link in locating someone.
