PIP tribunal was created by luthersgirl
Hi I’ve got my Pip tribunal this Thursday via telephone call and I’m worried as I don’t know what to expect so has anyone else had one recently? I’m concerned that usually face to face people can see how much pain I’m in from DDD, fibro and CFS/ME but over the phone they won’t know, any advice would be grateful . Thanks

Hi Trace
We haven't seen many telephone appeals reported on the forum so you may not get any feedback to your post.
Remember, it is not your conditions that are being assessed but the limitations that result from them, have a look at our PIP Claim guide for the criteria that the panel will be questioning you about.

If you have any specific questions then come back to the forum.
Some practical advice. make sure that you have a comfortable seat, the hearing will likely take the best part of a hour, have a drink available and paper and pen. If you don't know what is being asked then ask for the question to be repeated.
Don't be tempted to record the hearing, just because it is not at a Tribunal Service venue does not mean that the normal rules do not apply and making a recording is Contempt of Court.
Best of luck with the hearing,
Gary

I was actually wondering the same thing! it would be interesting to hear from anyone who has experienced it already.
@Gary - Do tribunals give the verdict on the day usually? if you'll be awarded or not.

Sam
They can but it is becoming more usual for them to send the Decision by post after the hearing.
