My tel interview was on 3rd August 2020. DWP has not received report yet. They asked to contact Capita the last phone call on Friday. They advised Report is in/under audit. I understand audit to be a random check on the work being done by Capita, audit could be internal/external. The report has been ready for three weeks. My thinking/ understanding is even if during audit ( which is thorough) any issues are noticed they are only noted but not necessarily corrected. Am i correct? just in case they are corrected the issue would be referred back to assessor as he/she produced report. b) On another matter if one wishes to defer claiming pension on retirement day ( allowed) will ESA continue to be paid? Patel.
If the report fails the audit then it should be sent back to the assessor for correction.
Your ESA will stop when you reach State Retirement Age whether you take your pension or defer. If you do defer then a Notional Income will be deducted from any Income Related benefits that you might be eligible to claim once you reach SRA, for example; Pension Credit.
