I have not worked for 2 years and have been in Support group a year now. I expect a reassessment soon. I am over the capital limit for Income related benefits. Even though I have National Insurance credits for two years, because I have not gained them through work, will I not be entitled to a years worth of Work related ESA if I am placed in that group. Hoping you understand my query
Providing you were placed straight into the Support Group following the Assessment period then you should be entitled to 365 days of ESA(CB) if you are placed in the WRAG group.
If you weren't then any time that you spent outside of the SG will be deducted from the 36 days.
Have you checked whether you are eligible for Income Related ESA as this is not affected by the 365 day limit.
