Review form layout and health change was created by amberkindness
Hello,

I'm currently filling out my review form for PIP and have a couple of questions.

The way the new review form is laid out is different from the last one I filled out. I'm writing my answers on a separate sheet. My health is still similar to the last review and I have written that I don't receive hep etc. Do I have to repeat I do not receive help when I write about the additional problems I have or can I just write this once at the end of the descriptor?

Do I have to write in the descriptors when my health became worse?

Thank you in advance.

Our PIP Claim guide covers completing the new AR1 form.

Our recommendation is to repeat common issues for each activity, don't assume that those assessing you will make the link from one activity to another.

It is not your health that is being assessed but the limitations that prevent you from completing each of the PIP activities, so if your health has deteriorated and as a result of this you are less able to complete those activities then you should certainly mention this on the form and in particular, how you are more limited now than you were when last assessed.

Hello Gordon,

Apologies I read the guides and got my answer regarding writing when my health became worse.

My health has become worse and it has caused me severe limitations. Thank you for highlighting I need to explain this in my form.

I have read the guides and looked at my review form several times and I'd like to check that question 7 is regarding communication as I'm getting confused with the question 8 descriptor.

Thank you in advance.

Hi amberkindness

Activity 7 is about the physical activity of talking and hearing, so you would need to be mute or deaf to score. Activity 9 is about the act of communicating with someone else is a social situation, someone who scores for (7) should expect to also score for (9) but the reverse is not true.

Hi Gary,

In the PIP B&W guidelines Q9 is communicating which also states its activity 7. It states if you have communication difficulties due to mental health then this applies. I do have problems with this due to my mental health.

I am confused with the wording in the PIP review and wanted to check Q9 communicating is the same as No. 7 in the PIP review?

The PIP guide is based on the PIP2 which has two extra questions at the beginning meaning that activity (1) Preparing Food is actually question (3) on the form, the AR1 Review form does not have the extra questions so Communicating is (9) in the guide and (7) on the AR1.

Sorry for the confusion.
