Please can somebody tell me what an LTF1 form is for? I'm trying to claim legacy ESA (IR) Instead of ESA (CB). I've been round the houses trying to claim this instead of UC for weeks. I have completed ESA3 and IS10 for SDP and now the "Processors" want LTF1 completed. I'm so confused!! The call handler said, to send in a copy of my joint tenancy with the form. Although, the DWP haven't requested this document, he said, they will ask for it and if I just send it with the form, they will have all the info they need. I just don't understand, why they cause you so much unnecessary stress, confusion and frustration. Thanks for your advice.

One of the requirements for you to receive the SD Premium is that you live alone or are considered to be living alone.

There are the criteria for you to be considered as living alone, any combination will allow the payment of the Premium.

First, the people you live with are dependants, for example; your children.

Secondly, the people you live with also receive a qualifying benefit such as PIP Daily Living/

Lastly, the people you live with, live with you separately. This is what the form is about.

The form asks you to attest to your living arrangements, the DWP may accept this but if there is documentation to support this such as your tenancy agreement then it is likely that this will be requested, so by sending it now you are hopefully avoiding further delay.
