Pip extended was created by debbiesixtysix1
I wondered if you could put me in the right direction. My PIP was due to expire at the end of Dec 2020 but I have recently received a letter saying it has been extended until end June 2021.
Now I have received a renewal on my blue badge application.
I rang the local council to ask what to do and they said just apply and send a copy of the new extended award letter and if there are any problems they will ring me. I will have to pay £10 for the extra 6 months surely ?.this isn’t my fault it is due to COVID 19, my original award was for 3 years and I was charged £10 to apply.
Do you have any idea what I might have to do or if any members have had this same situation.
Thanks

Hi Debbie
I hope someone else might have experience of this, but I suspect it will be one of those things you will just have to accept.

Hi Debbie
Your blue badge should run for 3 years, it is not dependent upon PIP although PIP mobility can help.

Hi Debbie
My blue badge was due to expire in November and my pip in January and had the same concerns. I was told to complete the renewal online and scan and send copies from my original award as well as proof of address and name. Mine was approved for another 3 years. Hope this helps

Hi Gary,
My Blue badge from my local council was based upon my PIP award and not on 3 years.

So was our daughter's, and her bus pass, so she has been without both since her award ended in January and we are still waiting for the decision. Denby
