Pip review- explaining again?! was created by Bonbon
Hi
I’m quite stressed with filling in forms lately!
Regarding PIP , if you send medical evidence from a consultant which says the conditions and they put what they are and medication plus a repeat prescription and you have written that everything has stayed the same and why with supporting letter from family- is this enough for a review?
Do they actually read it and based on that nothing has changed but you have written why plus the help you still need, will they still do a telephone assessment?
It’s so distressing and it’s not even for me!
If they are going to do an assessment why bother filling the form if they go over everything again? It’s very stressful and I do think sending the review form is pointless if they ask and treat it like a new claim.
I’m really hoping for a paper based but I guess that’s wishful thinking!
Any advice greatly appreciated

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Bonbon
It's not clear from what you've written, whether the form has already been sent. If it hasn't then I would read the guidance regarding filling in the PIP Review form - pages 98-105 and the area where it talks about what you should say if there has been no change. Just check it out to make sure you're not missing anything. It also explains who the form is dealt with and why.

Impossible to tell you whether it will be a phone assessment or paper-based.

Letters from consultants and family members do not tell the dwp how conditions effect you. Only you can state what conditions mean to your daily life, as you live with them. Just tell them the problems you have with doing things.
