Hello
I need more information in regard to the renewal of Pip. I received a letter in June saying that My Pip was extended until May 2021.
Now last week On the 1st of Oct 2020 I received a renewal pack asking me to fill my application for PiP and the deadline for them to receive it is on 21st Of October 2020. I am lost on Why? Is ist a mistake or? I know that the renewal of pip will be 3 months before the ending of the award. I am wrong what should I do? Can you please help in answering my question so I will know what I should do? Kindly .Mrs. S.

I'm afraid it isn't a mistake. The renewal forms are sent out approximately 6 months before the end date normally. However, a lot of people whose awards were extended are now finding they are receiving the letters earlier than they expected. As the DWP still say in their literature that they send review forms out - a year before the end of the award date - there is little you can do apart from asking for an extension if you can't meet the deadline. Quite a few members have reported being given two extensions recently. though officially the DWP will say that it is one.
