Hi can anyone advise me, how to make it clear on this form, my house share friend is NOT my partner? We both get ESA (support Group) & PIP. My friend gets IR Esa and SDP. I'm currently receiving CB ESA. I'm trying to claim IR ESA and the SDP payment. We have a joint tenancy and live in a house with two bedrooms. We decided to share accommodation years ago, as we help and support each other cope with daily tasks and share a lifelong friendship. I'm finding it difficult to explain. Thanks in advance.
Have you spoken to the person that you share the house with? They obviously have been successful in explaining their circumstances if they are receiving the SD Premium.
The things that the DWP will be interested in are a separate rental agreement and clearly defined living spaces with you only sharing the kitchen and bathroom.
