Telephone review was created by anne
I was diagnosed with melanoma which there is no cure I was straight away put onto high rate DLA I think it was so long ago then it changed to pip with various treatments and eventually immunotherapy I’ve had great results but with the toxicity of the drugs and having to have high dose steroids over a long period of time been left with long term problems my pip got reduced to the lower rate in July 2018 and I lost mobility part of award but at that time didn’t have the strength or inclination to appeal I have a telephone appoint to review my award
And was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to conduct my review

Hi Anne
If you look at the latest PIP guide - there are nine pages telling you about the telephone assessment. Starts on page 79.

Does a stage 4 cancer diagnosis which they don’t have a cure for not automatically qualify you for pip

Only and you will have to forgive the terminology, if a doctor is willing to certify that death would reasonably be expected within the next six months, otherwise you will be assessed in the same way as anyone else based on your limitations in completing the PIP activities.
