PIP assessment was created by countbrass
Hi, noticed my ESA payment was short so contacted them to be told my PIP award had ceased on 8th October. I had completed a PIP form a few months ago after they informed me it was due to end then but I have had no further contact. Contacted PIP who said that I had had to make a new claim as my award was ending as I had previously appealed the claim and was given an end date. The claim is now with the Assessors so was put through to them but they said they have no telephone appointments available and of course this could take ages due to Covid
I'm sure I had heard that PIP claims were being extended due to Covid and there would be no break in claim.

You should contact the DWP to find out why your award was not extended, the DWP initially took the view that Decisions that were the result of an appeal could not be extended, but the relevant Minister subsequently stated that ALL awards would be extended and we have had other members whose award was made by Tribunal report that theirs have been extended.
