PIP diary was created by percey
Hello,
I'm starting a PIP application and I've started a diary to give more details on my difficulties, any advice about how many days I need to include. I've thought maybe a week, any thoughts or advice on this? Thanks Percey

Hi Percey

I don't think there is any 'ideal' length. I think it's dependant on what people can manage and how much they have to say. If your condition changes from one week to the next, I would do more than one - but if one week is very like another - then I would submit that - with a note on it to say that it is a normal week.

Thanks for clarifying that, I have a further query. I think that some of my supporting medical evidence may make reference to me smoking cannabis in the past. How is this likely to be treated? and would I be better off leaving out sending any letters which have this recorded?

Hi percey

That is a judgement call, I never send in supporting evidence if it does not support a claim, with or without reference to smoking cannabis

Lots of claimants smoke cannabis because it helps relieve their pain more effectively than prescribed medication. If you have excellent medical supporting evidence which mentions smoking cannabis, and you want to use the evidence, then explain why and how smoking cannabis helped cope with your condition.
