Pip trawl re Engaging with other people

Today as a response I got a pip1021 form with a letter “thank you for telling us your circumstances have changed” and a 40 page book. I had NOT told them MY circumstances had changed rather that the legal situation might have changed my claim outcome, and I wanted them to look at it again.
What would you suggest I do? I certainly don’t want to start my whole claim again... many thanks mik

Unless you can get the DWP to withdraw this form then you must complete it or you risk your claim being closed, I would contact the DWP and if necessary, escalate the problem to a manager.

I took your advice and was lucky who I spoke to in Cardiff dwp just now.
I spoke to a case manager who withdrew the form. But stated in order to have this relooked at now, rather than wait for the “leap” process to trawl, it would have to re-examine my entire case, so I’ve decided it’s not worth risk. He asked a few colleagues and the process has not begun yet, and could be a long while.
As it was on a point of law from the court, and historic, I’m not sure I agree that I should have to resubmit a complete review of my entire circumstances, but I’m not going to risk it further until I hear more of how the process is going. I thought I’d post as others may be thinking of using the templates, and might want to consider the implications. In my case I needed 2 more points to get the higher level award.

Hi, hope you don't mind me sharing. They tried this with me a few months back about having to examine the award all over again. Unfortunately they will do this, I got to the highest contact possible by the way with the DWP and the assessor looked at the whole award again if I asked for them to look at it, rather than wait for them to look at the engaging with other people question specifically. The only good thing is that in my case, and I expect in other people's case too, it's difficult for them to change the other aspects of the award as it would be very difficult for them to get away with it without any proof to say anything had changed.
