Tribunal advocate question? was created by SirSupaDupa
Hi there,
So I've already filled in the online form for a tribunal appeal but i didn't ticked no for the box for advocate/support/someone helping.
My question is can I still get an advocate to help? i'm started to have some doubts and don't want to do it alone, or is it too late now?
If i can, do you know one who offers free help to attend court with you? perhaps CAB?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Sam
You can still add an advocate if you can find one.
There are very few face to face hearings being done at the moment, most hearings are being done over the telephone.
Do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

So Gordon if i manage to find one, will the court be fine with me bringing one along? since i already said no the form for appeal. Should I call them i tell them I want to bring one along?
And i guess if i get one, will just not be a 3 way call with the advocate helping if it's over the phone?

Hi Sam
Yes, you should inform the tribunal services that you will be using the services of an advocate if you find one, and yes an advocate can be on a three-way call.
