Hi
I had my telephone assessment on the 6th November. The day before I had a call to ask me if it was ok if a trainee could sit in on the call and I said yes. The assessor was very kind and I didn’t hear the trainee at all. The assessor had said they had received a lovely letter from my doctor and she was going to try and get me the highest award possible.
I logged onto my bank account this morning and I have £955.20 from PIP. This is the standard daily living as I have worked back 16 weeks and it’s the same amount.
I had pip previously from 2013 to 2019 at enhanced daily living but it was taken from me in December 2018 at a face to face assessment. I had no fight in me to appeal the decision as at an appeal in 2008 I was put through an ordeal I didn’t care to repeat when I lost my DLA. I believe with all my health conditions I have which include spondylolisthesis grade 4, fibromyalgia, SI joint dysfunction, gastritis, oesophagitis, acid reflux ( which wakes me up a few times in the night) hyperprolactinoma, extreme anxiety and depression I should have got enhanced daily living.
I don’t want to rock the boat by asking for a reconsideration and to be honest the stress I’ve felt by applying for pip again in the first place has made me ill but I feel I should be getting the higher rate. I am also on UC and get carers allowance for my dad. Can I claim SDP on the lower rate and if I appeal this decision how do I do it?
Many thanks

Hi
Yeah, it’s the timeout thing. I thought it hadn’t posted.
Thanks

Hi Bellaboo
You are not alone, I frequently get caught out with the timeout, especially when I have to put my thinking hat on or check that links are working before posting an item.
