Hi Margo

It is taking about a year from after you register for an appeal.

Hi Ian,

MR = Mandatory Reconsideration. (An MR is what someone puts in if they want to challenge their award.

Hi Margo

It may not take nearly as long as a year. In my (limited) experience it took a few months for the DWP to cave in. Try to gather as much evidence as you can in the meantime and forward it to the tribunal directly, as well as the DWP. Ideally make a complaint (if you haven't already) to the provider and ask for input from the assessor. If they are terrible, they are more likely to want to defend their terribleness. Use everything they say against them. It's not likely to be pretty, and is likely to be provably false with evidence from your doctors etcs, depending on your circumstances. (I'm assuming that it wasn't a good experience!)

Remember that your evidence (that the DWP sends to the tribunal) will likely be ("accidentally") photocopied until it is blank. Well, it was in my case. So it is worth duplicating as bold as you can make it and resending it.

Hi Margo

My MR decision was 2 May 2020 and I had my Tribunal today 23/11/20
So just over six months. It was a telephone appeal but unfortunately, it had to be adjourned as the panel did not receive my medical history from the DWP and also my DLA award information. So it could be another 6 or 7 weeks for me.
