Can my mobility be affected in tribunal too?

Hi there,

So the current situation is i'm taking PIP to a tribunal hearing for only receiving 4 points in my DL that's what i'm appealing against.

I'm just wondering if I could lose my mobility (12 points) in a tribunal even though i'm not appealing mobility?

Thank in advance!

Sam

The Tribunal remakes the Decision being appealed so in principle they can make a Decision on the Mobility component but I have only heard of this happening where there were clear and serious issues with the unappealed component, in simple terms an award had been made where it was clear that the claimant did not meet the criteria.

So, I would not worry about your Mobility just keep your arguments to the Daily Living criteria.

Hi Sam

I would agree with what Gordon has said, when ever I have gone to an appeal, if we are not arguing about the mobility component then I will state that at the beginning of the hearing.

I always state that on the appeal form (SSCS1), I state what we are appealing and why and what we are not appealing against.
