Hi, I now have a dosing box prepared by my pharmacy each week and I am asking if there is a specific way to update DWP to gain the point on my claim. When I applied they refused the point as they said that there was no evidence of a medical condition that would require the use of one. Subsequently, after discussion with the Pharmacist at my GP surgery they agreed that it would help me manage my pain and after discussion with the local pharmacist the Nomad was started. Would anyone be able to advise what evidence to submit to the DWP to hopefully get the extra point/s required to move up to the next level of PIP award?
The only way to do this is to put in for a "Change of Circumstances'. This will trigger a review of your entire claim and will normally require a new assessment. You will have to be very specific about why you need the dossette box, and how it helps you to manage your pain. Try to go for one extra point is always difficult so if you are putting in for a change of circumstances, I would see if there is any other area that could be covered.
