Pip assessment time was created by Bucky65
Hi,
I have recently filled out the pip form and returned it, I received a text on 3rd November that they have the form and wondered how long it takes at present to hear whether you have been assessed or get a phone call from them etc.
Thanks.

Hi Bucky65
It varies across regions, it can take up to 8 weeks on avg but on the forum we have heard of it taking much longer and shorter. I can not give you a precise answer as we live in strange times.
Unless they do a paper assessment which depends on what supporting documents you sent in, most claimants are receiving a phone assessment.
You can read what to expect from the Guide to PIP claims and reviews which has ten pages about telephone assessments. The information starts on page 81.

Hi Bucky65,
I live in the north east of England and my time frame was a little over 12 weeks from when the paperwork was received to me having my phone assessment which was today. The assessor said it should be a further 6 weeks until I get a decision.
Best of luck with your claim
