I received my decision letter from the DWP and have been told my DLA will end on the 26th January and that I am not entitled to PIP, I’m not happy at all with the letter and what the assessor said, I have told them time again I’m under the care of 4 specialists and they still wrote in the report ‘You are not under any specialist for your condition, it is probable that you are okay’, I have sent evidence in and they also think I’m lying about my OCD which I have sent proof and if they could be bothered to read my DLA notes they’d see that’s why I partially claimed it, they sent a letter saying they can’t find my DLA notes too.
I am going to be hopeful using your guides but I thought I’d let people know how the system treats people who are disabled and in lots of physical pain as well as mental pain.
I'm so sorry that this has happened to you. You have the decision letter, but you also need to get a copy of the assessor's report. You can ring up the DWP and request that. It will give you more detail about how they came to their decision. I don't know whether you sent in any medical evidence from the last three years with your claim, but more recent information would help your cause.
