Hi Freddey
You won't have a face to face assessment, because none are being done and they are unlikely to resume very quickly. Assessments are telephone or paper-based. The majority are telephone assessments. You won't get a light touch review, because your review is due before you reach state pension age which is 65.

Hi Freddey
The state pension age of 65 no longer exists: www.gov.uk/state-pension-age.
The State Pension ages have been undergoing radical changes since April 2010. The changes will see the State pension age rise to 65 for women between 2010 and 2018, and then to 66, 67 and 68 for both men and women. There are plans to change State Pension ages further.

Hi freddey
I would go on line and just check your SP age as 10 years ago things have changed and your SP age may have gone up, I know that my SP age is 67th birthday.
Use the www.gov.uk/state-pension-age calculator.
As BIS has stated, you will not get the light touch review until you have reached SP age, although things may change, but we will let you know via our newsletter if they do.

just checked ,it is my 66th birthday. the reason i asked was my sister (who is 5 years younger than me at 58 yrs ) was awarded pip higher rate for both from 2016 until 2019. in 2018 the dreaded brown envolope dropped on her doorstep. it informed her that her award would be extended untill 2028. to say she was shocked was a understatement.
