Hi, I am trying to find out if moving address is going to affect my benefits. I am living in England just now, but will be moving to Scotland in a couple of months time, I am claiming Universal Credit and just recently have been awarded pip due to my arthritis, I am unable to work and also recently had a WCA telephone assessment which they have accepted in my favour. Was just wondering with the England to Scotland moving thing how this is going to affect me,hope someone out there can help, many thanks.
I cannot see moving to Scotland will affect your benefits as you are already in receipt of UC. All that you will need to do is inform them of your new address and contact details and any change in your circumstances such as moving in with a new partner.
Claiming benefits in Scotland is slightly different that in England and in some ways better.
