PIP assesment no phone call was created by A D Earles
Hi forum members
I was supposed to have my pip awaed review assesment today i was given the time of 8am .I thought as assessors were working from home this was how it is now?
So i made sure phone was charged and able to accept witheld numbers and by 9am no call .

Now i called Capita and they said i should call them next week to make a new appointment??????
I balled PIP and they said as my form is still with Capita to call them next week also.

Has anyone wlse experience of this .Seems very odd practice i do not want to be labelled as a no show when i was there waiting .

Anyone else getting wierd times for appointments and then no calls
Thanks in anticipation
Adrian

Hi A D Earles

I'm sorry that this has happened to you. There have been a number of assessments that have not taken place because of assessors.

What I find rather disturbing about your case, is that they don't seem to have acknowledged that the fault was theirs and given you any kind of explanation. I'm not sure why they think it is your responsibility to ring them next week for a new appointment, but it should at least give you the chance to choose an appointment.

You may want to put in an official complaint after the process is completed.

Hi A D Earles, our friend does some voluntary advocacy for PIP claims and recently sat with a claimant as the appointed time came and went without a call. I don't know what happened beyond that but it does seem to be getting more common. Best wishes for it when you do get the call. Denby
