PIP TELEPHONE ASSESSMENT was created by Jan1958
I had a nearly 2 hour telephone assessment and felt I was being interrogated not interviewed. I had previously enhanced mobility and standard care. The results came and standard mobility although my orthopaedic consultant has put in a letter my condition has and will continue to deteriorate, plus having suffered from demand anxiety and loosing my mum, dad and husband all
In a short period of time it is considerably worse. I have not been awarded any points for planning a journey etc. We followed your advice and putting a mandatory reconsideration in this week. Fingers crossed. This has caused me so much stress and sleepless nights. And it will all happen again in 16-24 months as although I had it I definitely before she had put a short date. Absolutely fed up.

Jan1958, You're entitled to be fed up. Why these people with low [assessors] or no [decision makers] medical qualifications have the effrontery to try to trump a consultant can only be put down to pressure from management to pay less benefit.
As a taxpayer it also infuriates me the amount of money wasted on trying this trickery on people with stable or deteriorating conditions, who go on to win at Tribunal. [Like our daughter and I hope you]. Of course, they bank on how many claimants don't manage it because of their very disabilities and or lack of competent support. So very best wishes with your fight.
Have you requested the assessor's report, so you can debunk any lies?

Hi Jan,

I really really feel for you. The whole scenario can feel so disempowering, but you have done what you can to take back control. You are going to apply for a MR which is the right thing to do, and well done for not being too discouraged to continue the fight!

Just checking that you have contacted the DWP for a copy of the assessment report. This is the report which explains why think you should have the points they have awarded you. It can be quite enlightening, and can reveal exactly where it is that you have to get them to change their minds. All essential reading before sending off your MR letter.

I wish you success,
Catherine

Hi Jan1958,
Sorry to hear this, the process and assessments can be very grueling and stressful. But it sounds as if you've nearly completed the MR process and if you've followed the advice on B&W I'm sure you will have a good chance of a better result.

Try and put it out of your mind now since worrying will not help and we all need to keep calm during these difficult times.
Good luck and fingers crossed!

Hi.

Yes I asked for the assessment and have with the help of my niece written to them and requested mandatory reconsideration. I will just have to wait and see now. This lady went to get a parcel during the assessment and badgered me rather than asked questions. I was really upset with her at times.
See what happens!!!

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
