Hi Guys just a question if I may. I have recently received my PIP reassessment suspended for 1yr now due 2023. I have recently contracted covid and have been extremely poorly. I have underlying health issues with CFS/POTS/FIBRO/CHRONIC MIGRAINES my dilemma is do I notify DWP of my change of health? The problem is am too I'll from covid just now to tackle the horrific forms, your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Darcy
I'm sorry that you have COVID.
Although the DWP ask claimants to inform them of any 'change in circumstances' ie a change in your health - they are not going to be interested in the fact that you have COVID at this time. Claimants have to have had a condition for three months before a claim and the expectation that it will continue for 9 months after. If you have recently contacted it, you won't know of any longterm effects that will have an impact on your daily care or mobility.
I hope that you start to recover soon.

Hi Darcy
There is nothing to stop you from informing them, but even if you have needed more care, you won't get any additional help at this time for the reasons I've already mentioned.
