Just to let members know there seems to be a nationwide extension of PIP awards. I was migrated from DLA to PIP around September 2016 and given a 6 year award due for review around September of 2022. Just had a letter through door today saying due to Covid etc etc PIP Award reviews had been suspended, but the letter says they have now re started PIP Award reviews. However, it says they may ( I assume due to backlogs) now look at some Award Reviews later than expected. To make sure I still receive my payments etc they have extended my Award by roughly 9 months to June 2023. This makes sense as it would account for the 9 months since the Covid lock downs last March until now. I wonder whether ESA Reviews and/or migrations to U/C are similarly delayed yet again, as in addition they have been affected by the less than successful pilots in Harrogate as we all know. Just thought I should make members aware of this development as I haven't been on here in a while. If the issue has already been raised and addressed here then apologies.
OOPS As stated I hadn't been on in a while and just now read in latest news section that many who hadn't been informed of their PIP extensions would be informed soon. Looks like I'm one of those.
