PIP Review Form was created by Destiny5
Hi All

Lookiing for some advice/direction please.

Afrer receiving a letter to say my PIP award has been extended for a year, I received a review for a few weeks later.

Does the individual initially going through the review form have access to and check the evidence/information on the how your disability affectd you form from when you first made the application?

And though the review form is not as lengthy, should I still describe for each part in detail how my conditions affect me as well as reslist any/all the aids I use?

Also, it was pointed out previously re me being able to drive a standard/manual car which I am no longer able to due to it making my lower back pain/condition worse so have had to change to an automatic. Should I mention this on the form?

And there has been a change in some areas/worse pain and more limitations but I have had a baby 3 months ago. Will the assesser consider and put these changes/pain worse etc as a result of delivering my child?

Hi Destiny

A lot of people are receiving review forms shortly after an extension letter, which can be confusing, but the DWP are trying to give themselves wriggle room when they have such a backlog.

The assessor going through your review form does have access to your previous records, but we know from what members have told us, that they don't always read it before an assessment.

It's up to you whether you tell them about the change to the type of car, but it is likely that you will be asked about driving your assessment, so it might be wise to mention it before.

I cannot tell you what an assessor will say about your increased pain levels. You need to try and emphasis through the assessment where you think the pain comes from.
