Hi i reached state pension age in march 2020, my pip at enhanced rate for both was supposed to be till december 2021 but i have received a letter extending it till 2022. I was hoping i would come under the light touch 10 year award for state pensioners. Does this not apply to all pensioners
The light touch review is dependant upon your condition and applies to claimants who are over State Pension and have an assessment. If you had an assessment before you reached State Pension age then the light touch review would not apply. We have heard on this forum members being awarded the light touch review.
In answer to your question, no It does not apply to all pensioners, you have to be a pensioner to be awarded it but it would depend on your circumstances.
