Hi. I have applied for a mandatory reconsideration for an award of pip taken away after a update assesment. I have been told it’s now with “quality control” as the descision maker has sent it there. Can anyone tell me what this means? Is it a hood or bad thing? I’m confused
A number of cases are picked at random to check the quality of the assessment, it could be that DWP are doing an internal audit on an assessor to check the quality of their work.
Your question asking if it was a good or bad thing, I would say it was a good thing if it drives up the quality of the decision making as we have come some stocking results only to be put right at tribunals.
