Sorry if this has been asked before. I’ve tried searching for an answer. How long after a ESA telephone assessment can you phone and ask for a copy of the report? Also is it the telephone number on your appointment letter you phone and ask for copy of the report?

Hello HD,
No apologies needed for asking - and if it something you want to know, there are probably other people out there wanting to ask the same question, but brave enough to do so.
You can ask for a copy of the report as soon as you have received the letter telling you the outcome of the assessment. The phone number is at the top of that letter, I don’t remember if that is the same one as on the appointment letter.

hi catherine and hd, sorry to jump in on your conversation but i had my assessment by phone on monday and i was going to ask the same question but i was under the impression you could request the report 48 hours after the assessment from the dwp as it should be on their system by then and that gives you a rough idea of points scored and more time to prepare for a mandatory reconsideration, perhaps i have misunderstood the rules. stay safe everyone bb.

You can ask for a copy of the assessment report after 48hrs for PIP, but for ESA you can only ask after the decision letter.

Are they now doing assessments by phone ? This seems crazy as how can they evaluate someone's health down a phone.Good luck to anyone getting that deal as appears to be far easier than having to attend any of the cross examination offices. Also wondering if they will do this phone interview thing for any re-assessments?

Yes, they are doing assessments, and reassessments, by phone. All part of staying safe in the COVID-19 world.
I think it depends on your condition and personal circumstances on which type of assessment is easier to deal with.
