PIP renewal ? was created by battyboo
I have been claiming PIP and received a letter a couple weeks ago to say ring up and reapply if I wanted too , ? If not its being stopped march.
My initial award was 2 yrs and I had to go too tribunal for that taking 14 months. It was an ordeal.
I won my tribunal by post .
I do not want too ring them and get it wrong .I dont want to speak to them at all It upset me for weeks last time.
I've just read that PIP people are being sent extentions letter .
Will that apply too me ?and ideas .Should I just wait ?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Lisa
I'm changing the advice I gave earlier. You may well get an extension letter, but as you've already received the letter saying you should reapply, I wouldn't leave it down to chance. I think it is risky not ringing to find out because your money could stop before you receive any extension. Is there anyone who could phone on your behalf?

Hi Lisa
As you won at a tribunal you will have a fixed date award, therefore you need to follow BIS advice and reapply if not your claim will cease. We are receiving mixed messages about those receiving award extensions, but if you have been told to reapply, then reapply.
Did you keep a copy of your claims form? If you did use it as a template along with our guides.
Have a look at our PIP Claim guide for a better understanding of the criteria you will need to meet.
