assessment report not ready ? was created by reds123
hi mods, i had my assessment on 25th jan and phoned them today 28th jan to request copy of assessment report but they said nothing on screen and its not been received from hcp yet. they advised i should have a decision in 8 weeks and to wait for that, i was thinking they just decided to not send out the assessment report if they can get away with it , should i phone again in a couple of weeks or leave it for decision letter. many thanks bb.

Hi British Bulldog.
Some of the call handlers love to tell people to wait for the decision. Keep ringing every couple of days (which I understand might be a drag) and ask for a copy of your report. The report should be up within 48hrs. Some assessors are not doing this.
I can't remember who it was, but one of our members actually had a second assessment through choice, because the report which was apparently full of inaccuracies wasn't completed until a week after the assessment because the assessor had so many to do. Our member successfully argued that the assessor clearly hadn't remembered individual claimants and muddled up the reports! I hope you don't have to go that far - but you are entitled to that report. I wouldn't leave it a couple of weeks.

Dear BB, if I were you I would have my highlighter pen ready! This is for going through the report marking all their naughties, omissions etc ready to write in ASAP and get to that decision maker before they take it as gospel and decide accordingly. It worked for our daughter so I recommend it. Best wishes, Denby
