Hi I wonder if anyone has a similar experience , Ive been told today that I am being stepped down by my cpn as its now meant to to be a short term service Ive been seen for 11 years for bipolar and they have always done the supporting evidence for my dla now pip forms, nothing has changed with my condition do you know how to supply the supporting evidence letter that she used to do ?

Hi Julie

That must be a great worry for you. You should receive a discharge letter, which should give a summary of your current health and the fact it is now a short term service - so you would be able to send that in as evidence. In the future, you may need to seek clarification from your GP that you have ongoing issues. This is not always easy and depends on your GP.

I don't know whether you see a psychiatrist - but they are sometimes willing to write letters at least clarifying your difficulties.

Hi thank you for the reply yes I see the psychiatrist every 6 months .
I had no idea about the discharge letter and will follow it up, Its a great relief just to know that
