medical info was created by riversong
Hi
i am about to start filling in pip review form, your guides say sending medical info is helpful. i was under the care of a psychriatrist for over 10 years and referred back to the care of my gp over 5 years ago. as i am well supported by my family and medication remains unchanged, so no new reports have been generatered during that time. i have a esa report from 2017 that was cut short due to distress should i post that and any old reports that are still relevant. Or they of no use now. It is very difficult getting a gp appointment during this period,
Kind regards

Hi longbow

You can include old reports if they are still relevant to your condition and explain why, as you have stated below you are well supported by your family. You could ask family members to write a supporting letter explaining what support they give you and why.

You say that you are under the care of your GP, what care do you receive and how often, such as, do you have a weekly phone call. Your GP may be able to give you a letter stating what care they are providing and why and any difficulties in proving the care during this pandemic.

The problem with using an ESA report is that most of the descriptors are different although one or two do overlap, there is a spreadsheet in the guides with the overlap information on.

Have a look at our PIP Claim guide for a better understanding of the criteria you will need to meet.
